So you Think you Are a Big Business Now? Let Me See your Offices

Starting a business can be stressful. There is a lot to do, to make sure that it is running smoothly and that everything is getting done. The first six months to a year in the life of a business can be the most important in terms of its development and chances for success. That being said, the last thing you are thinking about while struggling to get your business going is where to rent an office.

Depending on your company and what you do, you have three options. If your company employs workers from all over the world, doing predominantly technological and internet based business, you may want to consider a virtual office for rent. It is basically a web base where everyone can log in and interact as if at one unified office. Think of it as a fancier chat room. Or the web base if you have ever taken any online courses that required student interaction. When you rent virtual offices, you can also hire an answering service or call center. This is when your calls all get sent to a centralized location and then get handled there, or sent to you. This way you do not need to set a physical location for a receptionist.

If you do need a physical space for your offices, you have plenty to choose from with office space leasing. You can often find short term rental options that make them very convenient to use for interim offices or conference centers. Depending on business size, and office requirements, an office can be rented as single rooms, whole floors, or entire buildings to fit all size needs. For a fresh company, setting up your offices can take months and a lot of money. My favorite detail is that you can actually rent a furnished office space. When you rent a furnished office space, you get all of the things required for your basic office. You will find desks, chairs, tables, lamps, cabinets, et cetera.

Do not get too excited, however. You will still need to provide some of your own things when you rent a furnished office space. Office supplies are not included. You will not find paperclips and printer paper provided. And in turn, no electronics will be provided either. You will need to bring in your own computers and printers and copy machines. But, for general ease of use, consider the fully furnished office rental. Read more articles like this.

  1. no one thinks about those little logistical details until it is too late, usually. when you have set up your first meeting, sent invites out to all of your employees, then you worry about where it is going to be

  2. or you get to the office on the first day and then realize that you did not do anything to arrange for furniture. that is always fun. you have to push back opening by a week just to get enough stuff in for everyone
