Two Ways to Repair Your Missing or Damaged Teeth

Since a perfect smile is often difficult to achieve on your own, cosmetic dental work is sometimes needed instead. Whether you have missing teeth, damaged teeth, or gingivitis, which is a gum disease that could cause both tooth decay and tooth loss, there are several options available to help. Dental implants and veneers, for example, can help improve the look and health of your smile. By seeking these treatments, you can be comfortable smiling once again.

Dental implants are artificial roots that are implanted in your gums in order to support artificial teeth. By fusing with your bones, the best dental implants will permanently be able to support anywhere from one tooth to a full set of teeth. Although dental implants are considered to be more reliable and successful than traditional bridges and dentures, dental implant prices are often more expensive. On average, a practitioner will charge between 3,000 and 4,000 dollars per implanted tooth. While dental implant prices may seem high to some, it is important to remember that this procedure is a permanent solution to missing teeth. Some dental insurances also cover the cost of these implants, and more are beginning to do the same.

Dental veneers do not replace missing teeth, but rather they are placed over damaged teeth in order to make them look as good as new. If a tooth has become discolored, fractured, or damaged in any other way, a thin veneer will be molded to it in order to cover up its imperfections. While some enamel must be removed to make room for veneers, only one millimeter is typically removed. In addition, it is important to visit an AACD member dentist to make sure veneers are the right option for you. While some types of veneers are removable, others are permanent solutions to your damaged teeth.

Although half of all cosmetic dental patients are between the ages of 41 and 60, and 66 percent of patients are female, millions of people are dissatisfied with their smiles. In order to achieve a better smile, dental implants and veneers are sometimes needed. Veneers can cover up damaged teeth, and although dental implant prices can be costly, implants are a permanent solution to missing teeth. By seeking the help of a cosmetic dentist, you can get the perfect smile you have always wanted. More.

  1. How do I know if my insurance covers this? Do I have to call and ask them myself, or will a dentist already know? I dont think I can do this if I dont get at least some help from insurance, because 3 to 4 thousand per tooth is insane.

  2. I got implants, and it was the best decision of my life. I hated having dentures because they made me feel old, plus they never stayed in. The implants are always in, I never have to take them out and they feel and look like real teeth.
